About
Curious by nature. Practical by instinct.
My career has taken me from accounting to analytics, engineering, AI, cybersecurity, and executive technology leadership. Those were not separate careers. They were different ways of learning how organizations work, how people solve problems together, and how thoughtful leadership creates clarity during change.
I am intellectually curious and enjoy connecting ideas that do not usually live together. I am equally comfortable discussing financial stewardship, an engineering roadmap, a Board presentation, team culture, or the human dynamics beneath a difficult operational problem.
My approach is hopeful pragmatism: listen carefully, tell the truth, ask the questions that unlock the problem, and identify the next right step.

Beyond Technology
History keeps me curious. Writing keeps me creating.
I'm a WWII history buff, in large part because of my grandfather. He flew B-17s during the war and became a prisoner of war after being shot down over Holland. During his time as a POW, he kept an impeccable journal — a remarkable record of what he experienced, observed, and thought during an extraordinary chapter of his life.
That journal helped inspire my own love of writing. Today, I'm a member of the Mercantile Library in Cincinnati, where I attend writing workshops and continue to practice the craft.
As AI makes it easier to simplify, summarize, and automate so much of what we do, keeping the skill of creation alive matters to me even more. Exodus 31:3 speaks of God giving wisdom, understanding, and skill for creative work. I believe the instinct to make something beautiful is itself a gift worth stewarding, which is part of why I continue to practice writing — to exercise the distinctly human work of turning thought into language, and language into something meaningful and beautiful.
